Opening board and landmarks

The opening is a compact rectangular board with blue and pink feeds at the upper corners. A horizontal green collector occupies the top middle, while a second green square waits at bottom left. The most distinctive obstruction is the tall striped green column just right of center, ending in a starred green cell. Pink vertical pieces and blue rectangles surround it, leaving very little open turning space.

How to beat level 197 of Sand Blocks?

1. Video 0:00

   Begin with the upper green horizontal piece rather than the large lower square. In the first six seconds the green piece shifts upward and the blue vertical piece beneath it moves toward the central feed lane.

2. Video 0:06

   Move through the small green upright on the left side of the central opening. By twelve seconds that piece is lower and the upper green horizontal collector is again aligned near the center.

3. Video 0:12

   Continue the upper-right pink and green sequence. At eighteen seconds a green upright is directly under the middle lane and a green horizontal piece extends right; several pink obstacles have already disappeared.

4. Video 0:18

   Use the newly opened center to work the remaining pink upright downward beside the striped column. The twenty-four-second frame has far fewer pieces above the lower half, making that central corridor easier to follow.

5. Video 0:24

   Clear the lower green square and nearby blue and pink pieces while the center is open. At thirty seconds the striped column has almost vanished, leaving only its starred lower segment.

6. Video 0:30

   Finish the small remaining upper purple shapes, the green collector near the right feed, and the final lower blue block. The recording reaches its completion overlay around thirty-six seconds; do not stop at the nearly empty board.

Three obstacles to keep in view

• The upper green horizontal piece and bottom green square are different targets; clearing the first does not clear the second.
• The striped central column occupies a full narrow vertical route, so do not read that strip as an empty corridor.
• At thirty seconds the starred lower cell and blue square are still present, despite most of the board having cleared.
