Opening board and landmarks

Three overhead feeds sit above a small upper puzzle, while two broad purple shutters cover the centre and bottom. The visible left and right side counters begin at 13 and 17. Yellow bent pieces and a magenta corner crowd the narrow working area between those counters; the green side inlet is initially below the first shutter.

How to beat level 299 of Sand Blocks?

The checkpoints follow Rock Gaming Channel's 152-second recording. Each timestamp opens that stage on YouTube; the player below shows the continuous moves between checkpoints.

1. Video 0:06

   The upper cyan horizontal pieces move within the space below the three feeds. Compare their new positions with the opening: the left counter has fallen to 10 while the right remains high, so this is an upper-board phase.

2. Video 0:18

   Yellow bent pieces have been rearranged beneath the cyan feed and a small orange piece occupies the left-middle lane. The two large shutters still separate this movement from the lower compartments.

3. Video 0:24

   The first shutter has disappeared, exposing another layer of yellow, orange, green and cyan shapes. Use this as the transition checkpoint before following the subsequent moves in the central opening.

4. Video 0:42

   The yellow corner now sits to the left of centre, with green horizontal shapes and a cyan bar beneath it. The right magenta corner remains near the side counter; it is not yet the final piece.

5. Video 1:00

   The central lane opens further as the yellow outline changes position and the long cyan bar shifts across the board. The lower shutter remains in place, so the visible empty centre is not completion.

6. Video 1:24

   The left upper counter reaches its final visible stage as an orange piece sits above the yellow corner. A magenta strip and green bar occupy the middle, and the bottom shutter still hides the last group.

7. Video 1:48

   The bottom shutter is now gone. A new lower cluster includes narrow magenta, cyan and green shapes; the upper board is much emptier, allowing these remaining pieces to be repositioned.

8. Video 2:12

   Only a few scattered pieces remain, including a green bent shape near the lower centre and a purple strip at the bottom. Continue with the video rather than treating the disappearance of both shutters as the clear.

Three obstacles to keep in view

• Do not confuse the broad purple shutters with ordinary pits that should be filled immediately. Their disappearance changes the accessible board.
• The side counters decrease at different rates; an open route on the left does not mean the right magenta corner is finished.
• The final lower cluster was hidden at the start, so copying only the first yellow-piece arrangement leaves an entire phase unfinished.
